BioBox®-SO100 energy-independent wastewater treatment plants are autonomous systems designed for mechanical and biological treatment of industrial and domestic wastewater.

**Features:**
* Three access ports with 800 mm diameter screw-on lids for chamber maintenance.
* Standard configuration includes 500 mm high access ports for installation at a depth of 600-700 mm from the surface to the inlet pipe.
* Three-chamber systems are required for stations with a capacity exceeding 5 m3 per day. For up to 5,000 liters, two-chamber systems are suitable.
* Available with different access port heights depending on the inlet pipe depth:
* 500 mm port: 600-700 mm pipe depth
* 1000 mm port: 1100-1200 mm pipe depth
* 1500 mm port: 1600-1700 mm pipe depth
* 2000 mm port: 2100-2200 mm pipe depth (Premium series with 20% stronger body)
**Volume Selection:**
* **For Private Homes:** Calculate based on 600 liters per person, derived from SNiP (200 liters/person/day x 3 days retention). For a family of 3: 200 x 3 = 600 x 3 = 1800 liters required.
* **For Manufacturing:** Estimate 50-100 liters per worker per shift, typically not exceeding 50 liters.
* **For Cafes, Restaurants, Hotels:** Depends on water consumption.
**Capacity:**
* Suitable for 30-35 people.
**Operation and Calculation:**
This energy-independent system uses gravity to flow wastewater through three chambers, separating solids that settle. Anaerobic treatment occurs at the bottom, with additional biological treatment via an R-TUB biofilter.
Required volume is calculated according to SNiP 2.04.03.85, with a minimum of three times the daily flow (170-250 liters/person/day).
**Design Advantages:**
The septic tank is a durable, sealed container with stiffening ribs, divided into three chambers, with ports, extensions, lids, and 110 mm pipe connections, ready for installation.
Two-chamber design reduces operating costs by eliminating aerators and compressors.
**Operating Principle:**
The system relies on mechanical and biological treatment of wastewater.
1. Wastewater flows from the house to the system at a slight angle.
2. The first chamber receives all wastewater, where solids settle, and fats float.
3. The second chamber facilitates anaerobic digestion by bacteria.
4. The third section is a chamber for additional fermentation.
5. Wastewater flows to filtration fields for final treatment.
**Final Treatment:**
The most important stage is the final soil filtration. Permeable soils (sand, loam) ensure proper function. Poor soils (clay) require artificial filtration fields.
**Filtration Fields:**
Filtration fields can be created using R-Block infiltration units, UN filter wells, or perforated drainage pipes.
**Maintenance:**
Insulate the system and add beneficial bacteria monthly to accelerate treatment and reduce odors.
**High Water Table:**
Install drainage pipes and a pumping station to remove excess groundwater. Alternatively, create raised filtration fields.
**Additional Equipment:**
Install a KDU, D1000 inspection well with a check valve before the filtration fields to prevent backflow of groundwater.
**Wastewater Discharge Options:**
1. To drainage pipes in well-draining soils.
2. To infiltration blocks.
3. To bottomless concrete filter wells.
4. To raised filtration fields in clay soils using a pumping station.
5. To Rodlex® filter wells with screw-on lids for additional storage.
6. Use a pumping station for large height differences or long distances from the house.
